Two cores from your A5 chip deliver as much as two times more power or even more to seven times faster graphics.2 And you’ll have the effects. Fast. iPhone 4S is fast and responsive, that makes all the difference when you’re launching apps, browsing the online world, gaming, and doing almost everything. And no appear you’re doing, you can keep on lighting up. Because the A5 chip is so power-efficient, iPhone 4S has outstanding battery life.

Only one thing left to say after having watched a few more vids…
Purchase secured – (but first, a new Yamaha CLP470)…
@beancoding Stale? If it aint broke why fix it? Change for the sake of change is stupid. Take the new youtube design as a prime example.
Meh, iOS is a stale platform and the iphone doesnt offer anything new that android devices dont already have, infact its probably the other way around.
Great review. Glad to see a review from someone who has had both android and IOS. I feel as if IOS is just a more streamlined interface right from the homescreen.
@Tr1pTr0p I think the screen is the perfect size for one handed use. If I wanted to use two hands I’d just get an iPad.
ICS really does run circles around iOS, but that’s only my opinion after experiencing both.
The iPhone is the right size, but only dimensions wise. The screen is way too small for today standards.
The perfect move Apple could pull with with the iPhone is to make the screen bigger, but not the whole device. They should only stretch the display outward to about 3.7 or even 4 inches (possibly even stretch it to 16:9 ratio), and making the bezel smaller.
…then I’d be the first in line to buy it.
@PoliticalHell There is a pretty big difference. The biggest being the smoothness for lack of a better term.
Is Android really that big of a difference from iOS? I have the 4s as my first smart phone and I love it, but I hear a lot of people really prefer Android – I’ve never used it myself, though. My only problem with iOS is that it has no way of storing files without using specific apps and syncing through iTunes. The phone itself is amazing, but it’s a lot more heavier than I expected. My hand starts to hurt after talking for a long time.
@lambdog76 BTW thanks for the sub
@lambdog76 Understood. Well I’ll be using mine as a compliment to a Canon HF100 and a cheaper Panasonic HM-TA2 with a spotlight for piano & studio vids + on it’s own for some outdoor photos. I was impressed with the photo images on the Apple website. With 1080p, I’ve only seen vids on YT – so it’s a little harder for me to judge. Anyway – thanks for the info.
@Westsound191 I’ve managed some good pictures, there is just crossover wash into the image if brightness is near the frame. When things are just right, it is great, but even at 1080p it isn’t on par with my Sanyo pulling 720 if that makes sense.
@lambdog76 I have yet to replace my 3GS with the 4s & I’d be interested to see how it works in different lighting conditions.
For me personally, light discipline wouldn’t be a deal breaker as I’d intend to shoot either outside or with adequate light + it would be complimenting 2 other HD cameras I have. My understanding is that light management was better and colour more accurate than the iPhone 4 (a friend of mine has taken some great outdoor pics on a 4).
@GlockNinja Easily missed, my friend
I can agree with a lot of what you said, – everyone will look for different things in a phone (or any device for that matter).
@GlockNinja Easily missed, my friend
@Westsound191 oh okay…I stand corrected then.
wow a little harsh there on android. i was going to drop my iPhone and go for a galaxy s 2, but after seeing this… i don’t know, cuz you’re pretty honest in your reviews.
i can’t form a really good opinion about android cuz in this shit hole that we call a country, aren’t that many to go around.
can you please make a video, and show us, “in your opinion” where iOS shines and android blows and vice versa.
another beef i have is with the camera. my understanding was that it was supposed to have some light management technology that ensured a good picture. while it is a fast camera you have to still use light discipline just like any other camera.
if i could do it over again i would personally have gotten the 32 gig as ive already managed to hit capacity once, so long term photo and video storage is a limited option at this time for me. in the phones defense i had over 20 minutes of video and 187 pictures
great review. i know i like mine. between youtube videos, gaming, and filming, im only getting about ten hours of battery life. but im playing appa like gt motor academy. the phone being just the right size is something that i hadnt conssodered but you arr right in my opinion
@GlockNinja It does have a dual A5 chip. (The iPhone 4 only had one A4).
For me, the iPhone 4s is a gem of a phone. Well built, appropriate screen size – yet can output 1080p & fine image quality (certainly for a phone). Audio quality as always very clear – great for recording lessons etc. Antennagate fixed. Only feature missing in Siri in the UK was the location finder (I think) but that will change, if not already.
Every company will have +s and -s. There are some great phones out there. IMO, the 4s is one of many examples where Apple have basically got it right.
oh yeah 4g is a must while half of countries including the one i live in doesn’t even have 4g so not a good point, plus i love the 3.5 ” display i want something small
I personally have no problem with the screen size, because using a 4.3″ or 4.7″, the screen look nice and big, BUT it’s not ergonomic using a single hand and navigate with your thumb. Larger screen then 4″ you need to hold it with one hand and navigate with your other hands finger to be ergonomic.
@GlockNinja A question, why is 4G a must? There isn’t a huge market yet and it’s still in development for some years before some carriers in the us and europe will use it at full speed. (not talking about US fake 4G where the speeds still isn’t beating 3G up to 16Mbit/s).
I do agree that the iOS is smoother. But I think I rather have the ability to change batteries, upgrade the storage memory, have a bigger screen, dual core power, and most importantly..if you are going to renew for the next two years….4G is a must. Trashing a android phone to get a iPhone is a very drastic statement.
